Chris teaches for Edmonton Public Schools as a substitute teacher, Edmonton Catholic Schools as a guitar clinician, and Parkland School Division as a Junior High classroom teacher, and Musical Director (SGCHS). He has post-secondary training in Music (MacEwan University/ University of Alberta) and Education ( B.A. English, B. Ed. Science). Chris is currently working towards his RCM teaching accreditation and his Masters of Arts in Medieval Music Studies.
He has taught, performed, recorded, written, produced, and toured nationally and internationally as a professional guitar player for over 30 years, performing with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, and local bands Junior Gone Wild, and Le Fuzz, including multiple appearances at the Edmonton Folk Festival both as a singer/songwriter and as a sideman. Currently, Chris is honored to work within the Spruce Grove Composite High School Theatre Program preparing student-performers for a career in theatre, a position he has held since 2022.
